How to Smoke the Best Pork Butt in the World

Rub Recipe:

2 cups brown sugar, dark
4 tablespoon salt
4 tablespoon black pepper
2 tablespoon cayenne pepper (double for extra spicy!)
2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoon onion powder


  1. We love the smoker, and wanted to share a great web site for the newbe wanting to learn about every kind way to grill and smoke with any kind of meat Also great info on meat temperatures and our first turkey came out awsome. Word of caution, don’t go to the website on an empty stomach.

Hi Billy, just watched your Smoked Pork Butt video on YOU TUBE and cant wait to try it out, i’m just getting back into smoking foods mainly because a friend introduced me to Deer Bacon,if you haven’t tried it, you should. I can make it cheaper than buying it ,and it is awesome !! It is made with similar ingredients as your rub ,but the meat is ground 50-50 Venison and pork butt then mixed,placed in pans, cooled then smoked,sliced like regular bacon, then fried like regular bacon or even better… Grilled. I’m sure there are other sites to purchase ingredients but i’m getting mine from Curly’s Sausage of course .I’m just a fan of theirs not affiliated ,and they have great recipes on their website ,check em out and Good Eating ,Thanks for the Great video!, Frank
